Megan Anna Rapinoe was born on July 5, 1985, in Redding, California, 11 minutes after her fraternal twin sister. Megan Rapinoe grew up in the conservative town of Redding in Northern California. Her mother Denise was a waitress. Her father, Jim, was a contractor.
